In two-tone, marle, French linen this dress will be a wardrobe staple. Clever design lines and a tailored finish elevate a simple linen dress into a garment than can be worn through the day or dressed up at night. The buttons are natural Corozo nut and extend right through the dress that has cap sleeves, pockets and a full skirt. The waistband feature helps to define the waist which has an elastic back panel to make the fit more versatile. You could consider wearing this design open as well as a shirt style linen jacket.

Material

100% French Linen

This garment has been crafted from 100% French Linen, using two different colours throughout the weave to create a unique colour effect.

Linen is a natural fibre from flax grown in the northern regions of France. Linen is a light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear.

Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibres, such as conventionally grown cotton.

Linen is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits. 

Size and Fit

The upper section of this dress has a regular fit with a relaxed skirt. The waist panel has an elastic section at the back to help with a more flexible fit however this and the bust are the most important measurements to check for best sizing. We recommend you take your usual size. The hem can also be taken up easily if required. Linen will naturally soften with wear.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
